How can we improve Michigan's AI tools?

The University of Michigan has a student-focused AI tool called MiMaizey. This tool is still in beta and needs a redesign to increase student usage and provide feedback.

The new AI tool MiMaizey aims to address the search challenges that Michigan students face when looking for specific college information. By integrating Michigan’s websites, courses, and Canvas data into one resource, it can save students time spent searching through non-specific Google results.

As noted by the client, Michigan IT Services, a redesign needs to provide enough value to students to encourage preference over other search tools such as Google or Safari, while also maintaining engagement. Our client asked the SI 307: Intro to UX Design course students for help.
